There are people who are born naturally dumb.
Migori Governor Okoth Obado is one of them.
Not only is he dumb, he sorrounds himself with equally dumb poeple.
Let’s start at the beginning.
Obado involved his close aides Michael Oyamo and Caspal Obiero in the murder of Sharon.
That’s the first mistake.
An agency relationship can easily be deduced here.
They were acting as agents of their boss.
Caspal Obiero then makes the second mistake -using his wife’s car (the KCL Toyota Fielder) to abduct Sharon.
Who, other than a incurable fool, would use their wife’s vehicle (that can be easily traced by the police) to abduct a woman who is later murdered.
Caspal Obiero then makes the third mistake - procuring a third party -Jack Gombe–to drive them to Kodera after the abduction of Sharon.
Jack Gombe was not told that he would be involved in the commission of a crime.
He had no idea that they would abduct and later kill Sharon Otieno.
[B]Okoth Obado the bald man makes the fourth mistake.
He hires a taxi to take him from Oyugis all the way to the scene of the crime.
He’s introducing another party (another mouth that can talk), the taxi driver.
The bald man also makes the fifth, and most fatal, mistake.

Investigators simply traced his movements and asked him one question: what was your phone doing in Kodera Forest?[/B]
Now, the most important element in this matter is Jack Gombe.
He drove the KCL but did not know that he would be implicated in the commission of a crime.
It is Jack Gombe who has confessed that Okoth Obado was indeed at the scene of the crime.
His confession corroborates the statement provided by the taxi driver.
Gombe has apparently signed a deal with the DPP.
He will be charged with a lesser crime of conspiracy to commit murder which carries a maximum sentence of 14 years.
The rest are accessories to the murder.
They are facing life sentences.

Thrown to an awkward situation, probably a possible death sentence, taxi driver Jackson Gombe could not hear none of that, detectives have revealed.

And at Oyugis police station, Mr. Gombe, who’d been arrested with Toyota Fielder that was reportedly used in abduction of slain student Sharon Otieno and journalist Barack Oduor, gave a possible clue that links Governor Okoth Obado to gruesome murder.

Mr. Obado was arrested on Friday after recording statements for the second time with DCI and will face murder charges on Monday.

In the police cells, reports the Standard, Gombe, who was not privy to abduction, spilled the beans about the mystery surrounding the death.

Detectives say, in his statement, Gombe indicates that Obado, using a different vehicle, drive to the murder scene at Kodera forest where he gave final instructions.

Contrary to his earlier statement that he was in Nairobi, detectives have however traced Obado’s phone to Homa Bay during the fateful day, revelations which matches with the taxi driver’s statement.

The Toyota Fielder belongs to another aide to Obado, Mr. Caspal Obiero who has since been arrested and locked in Keroka police station.

Following the confession, Gombe will face a lesser charge of conspiracy to commit murder as others battle murder charges.

Also facing murder charges are Obado’s PA Michael Oyamo and bodyguard Elvis Omondi.

What shocks me is that he went to the forest with his cell phone and GPS on, using common taxis driven by unsuspecting strangers. If you hire a hit team, do not join them or have direct contact. He used his direct employees!

Lakini we all knew that he was a violent goon after he barged his way into elections and governirship.

This is the ultimate test for the DPP and the revisited judiciary. Ombeta should not be allowed to book a friendly judge and court or confuse the process with diversionary tactics. Halafu Obado’s illicitly collected funds may soon be locked down.

Was she deliberately laying ground that it was a regular thing?
