Nzamba Kitonga is dead!!

We need to fine tune devolution to the existing realities, counties where medics are not paid on time due to delays by the national government, while MCAs are sorted? We got warped priorities.

In this country, it is politics and politicians first, everything and everyone else later.
Have MPigs and other elected political leaders ever protested delayed payment of their salaries?

A document like a Constitution is a product of lots of (give and take)…
That’s why the final draft is often unrecognizable from the original noble ideals envisilaged by the would-be clients … In our case, Kenyans.

And most of these units are usually the loudest when crying for their “share” of the National Cake…
Of course this “Share” ends up as part of the “Concrete jungle” we call Nairobi…

Sadly it’s true, the back to Nairobi part. if you happen to talk to medics in the devolved units, you will hate these governors.

You are conflicted, period.
Holding people accountable for their actions is the reasonable way rather than blame the entire document on the negligence of the office holders.

Because their only source of revenue is business permits. The national government collects several forms of taxes

That is exactly what devolution was trying to cure. you dont have to produce to have a voice in Kenya. every place needs to have a voice and power to control their land without interference

-So many small counties that make no economic sense.
-Counties formed along ethnic boundaries thus increasing tribalism
-Excessive number of MPs
-Useless posts like deputy governor, women rapes, county minister etc
-Useless commissions like SRC, JSC, PSC etc

Devolution doesn’t protect ‘your marginalized communities land’ kijana. Wetangula owns vast land Turkana county adjacent to Ngamia One oil wells. Moi family owns thousands of hectares in Isiolo county. Kenyatta owns vast land in Laikipia and Samburu counties. Need I continue?

Usisahau parking fees, land rates etc

They got the land before devolution and most of the land was not in the hands of the locals

Most counties are rural and they make little money from parking. Nairobi is the only county that makes a lot of money from parking and yet it gets more national government projects than any other county

Do you even listen to yourselves when you speak? Ati without remittance from the national government. It’s as if the national government makes it’s own money as a private entity and not from the revenue from taxation. Sisi wote tunalipa tax and the leverage the government gets to borrow is from the same taxes so GTFOH.

Wewe ni NGA so I understand where you come from but ukweli ni, this is national cake and we’re sharing it according to the supreme law of the land as it should be. No one is doing another a favour.
