If true, this is a master stroke. Miguna was unhappy with Kenya, having badly lost his gubernatorial bid last year.

What is going through Miguna’s mind?
He was a gubernatorial candidate last year and shouted his manifesto in countless TV appearances.
He lost on 8/8 to a man he had roundly insulted and demeaned. Between August and October, he turned into a rabid NASA supporter and forgot everything he’d ever told us about Raila and his ODM, corruption, nepotism and betrayal.
After the boycott and second loss, Miguna suddenly declared himself General of the new outfit that the most angry NASA losers had created, NRM.
He began to speak a language that was very similar to what Al Shabaab and MRC speak. Openly asking youth to obtain arms and rise, he upstaged firebrands like Aladwa, Arati, Muthama and Wandayi.
Miguna’s rise culminated in his single-handedly administering Raila’s treasonous oath on 30/1/2017. The paper was his, as were the oath, stamp and signature. He was finally the apex of the system that had unceremoniously vomited him out in 2012, basking in the warmth of Baba’s bossom.
That press conference after the oathing exuded a sense of invincibility and revolutionary hubris rarely seen in Kenya. Like Goliath, he spat at his perceived enemies and challenged them to arrest him.

He looks defeated. He is probably shocked that he was in jail all that time and non of the NRM supporters did for him what they would do for Raila if he was in jail. He is probably asking himself if it’s worth it.
