Stephen King has some of the best opening lines in literature.

“The man in black fled across the desert, and the gunslinger followed.”

The Gunslinger

I wish they made a movie based on The Darktower series. It would be so bad ass.

“ The most important things are the hardest things to say. They are things you get ashamed of, because words make them smaller. When they were in your head they were limitless; but when they come out they seem to be no bigger than normal things. But that’s not all. The most important things lie too close to wherever your secret heart is buried; they are clues that could guide your enemies to a prize they would love to steal. were saying it.

The Body Different Seasons

The adaptation of this short story remains as one of the best movie I’ve ever watched.

The Shining and Green Mile also rank up there.

I began with The Racketeer. The Firm is the second one from him that I’m reading. Try any of his, you might like his works.

I loved the Gunslinger series too, I read volume I and II back in 2007, still looking for volume III. Am not sure if there were other volumes in the series
