Police officers in Nanyuki town are detaining Esther Njeri, 36, who pulled her kids out of school claiming that education is satanic.
The mother of two pulled her two kids; a 13-year-old girl in Form Two and an 8-year-old boy in primary school
According to the area Chief who was flanked by village elders during the operation, the two children had not reported to school since school resumed in-person learning in early January.
Ironically, Njeri holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree and another one in Accounting.
Her confused neighbours said she recently started warning friends and family that the end of the world was nigh, asking them to repent before the end of the year.
She has also said that she is ready to face the law, comparing her tribulations to the Biblical Shadrack Meshack and Abednego.

Your kids belong to the state
This has nothing to do with her marital status. Mental health issues at stake here. Those kids are not safe in her care.

Many have done it successfully. Raising kids on your own I mean. But you also enter a marriage knowing a spouse can pass on or be disabled.
She needs mental care. And the older one is just 13, a new teen and the other one is 8. There is time to heal.

The difference between you and I is that I don’t sing kumbaya just for the sake of it. I know v many successful single mothers in my circle of friends, in my family such as my MiL who has raised a wonderful son (in my eyes). He is way better than guys raised by 2 parents some drunkards and wife beaters. Kwa hivyo siwezi kubali that they should all be herded and shot. Nope.
