Don’t be dumb. What proof do you have that the North Koreans are not operating as individuals? Neither Russia nor North Korea have announced any troop deployment arrangement. And who do you think operates patriots? Americans and NATO personnel. According your reasoning, hundreds of Americans operating patriot systems are in Ukraine as individuals but hundreds of North Korean foot soldiers cannot be in Ukraine as individuals.

You’re the one that’s being dumb. A North Korean citizen cannot walk out of the border without the state’s permission otherwise they’d be labelled a defector and their family would bear the punishment. If an ordinary citizen can’t leave what about 10,000 soldiers?
US and European aid has been primarily military equipment, not foot soldiers. North Korea was also providing military equipment to Russia. South Korea has been the one asking why North Korea is sending it’s soldiers to die in a war that doesn’t concern them
