This is probably too heavy for a Friday, but hey…
So, this week was the anniversary of the assassination of MLK. I’ve posted this short documentary by brilliant researcher & youtuber James Corbett that will basically tell some of you what you already know. As always the devil is in the details…
What we’re presented with now is instagram quotables and selfies for social media, near monuments if you’re so lucky, in order to garner more likes and what have you…it was what it is.![]()
The 60s & early 70s were a hell of a time - that was a wild time, a great time for music, for cultural exchange, for self determination…I envy my parents and their generation sometimes for living through this era. There was enormous pressure for change and awakening on a global level, especially for people from this continent and others in the diaspora. Leadership of black or African descent was at the forefront.

But those who own society saw it fit to stem the tide; Malcolm, MLK, The Panthers, COINTELPRO, Lumumba, Fred Hampton, Native American leaders like Leonard Peltier, the list is endless. It’s sad that certain truths come to light decades after some of these things happen.
I think we’re at another inflection point now…the next 10 years will be interesting. Anyway, enjoy! Have a good one villagers!
