Joshua has now claimed that NIS and KDF are being trained to rig the elections especially in western Kenya. Kwani every institution in this country is plotting against him and NASA?. Apart from IEBC that he claims is working with JAP to steal the elections, audit firm KPMG was also accused of doing a shoddy job in the voter register cleaning exercise. Mind you this is highly reputable company globally. NASA warned the appointment of KPMG was part of a wider scheme by IEBC top brass wider to frustrate electoral reforms and push for Jubilee’s interests.

Just how powerful is NIS?
It seems its Raila’s number 1 enemy due to the numerous claims against it since pre-2007 to date.
Lets wait and see if NIS will respond to the new wild allegations.
I honestly think Raila’s presser was to divert Kenyan’s attention from his Kajiado remarks. Kenyans and their goldfish memory!
Anyway , its unfortunate Raila dragged the military , our KDF should be sacred and not dragged into political wars.
What if the alleged trainings are routine inter agency counter terrorism trainings blown out of proportion ? or may be Raila’s wild dreams, you know he dreams alot nowadays …
Just like i’ve always said , if you know someone who knows somebody at NIS , tell them its my dream to join them.
I’d rather be a sweeper or a clerk at the powerful NIS than be a CEO somewhere!

One can’t sometimes help but conclude that Mr Raila Odinga suffers a serious case of foot-in-mouth disease. Twice in just the past week, the National Super Alliance presidential candidate has had to deny or clarify statements that were interpreted as dangerous incitement on the tinderbox issues of land, inequality and ethnic relations. There is no need repeating here what he said in the Times of London interview on white-owned ranches in Laikipia County, and at a campaign rally in Kajiado County.
‘EVICT OUTSIDERS’
Suffice to say that many read in Mr Odinga’s statements support for violent land invasions, and advocacy for the eviction of “foreigners”, “outsiders” and “invaders” in the two regions.
One can brandish the slickest campaign manifesto drawn up by the cleverest policy wonks around, but all the good things will easily be undone by a few reckless utterances.
Mr Odinga’s penchant for crowd-pleasing antics may make for good political theatre, but would bode ill for a person who needs to demonstrate sober, dignified and responsible leadership.
ETHNIC VIOLENCE
One can excuse and ignore toxic and reckless utterances from the likes of Moses Kuria and other serial purveyors of hate speech desperate to catch attention.
A serious presidential candidate however, should be more circumspect in his choice of words. This is especially so in the regions of fragile peace blighted by recent or past ethnic-political violence, where just a few thoughtless statements can incite conflagration.

It was no wonder that his utterances spurred President Uhuru Kenyatta and Deputy President William Ruto to excitedly accuse their main rival of plotting something akin to the 2007-2008 bout of post-election violence that nearly dismembered the country.
NON-MAASAI
Mr Odinga can only have himself to blame for statements that his opponents have so gleefully seized on for political capital. Shortly after the contentious statements, leaflets were circulated in Kajiado, ordering non-Maasai communities to vacate the county before the elections, supposedly in compliance with Mr Odinga’s caution.
It is true that there are communal tensions and land issues in Kajiado, Laikipia and elsewhere crying out to be addressed. Mr Odinga, however, would be better advised to offer tangible solutions rather than stoking the flames with incendiary comments. It is also perhaps time he began to appreciate that what he communicates will play a very big role in shaping perceptions amongst the groups he needs to win.
JUBILEE TERRITORY
The number crunchers should advise Mr Odinga that he will not penetrate fresh territory if he is busy scaring away the very voters he should be wooing.

Trainings in govt departments is something that happens all the time. Right now if you walk into any GTI, you will find govt employees from various ministries and departments undergoing this training or the other. Now, knowing who Joshua is, and informed by that incident where one of his aides interrupted him when he was making a speech and showed him a alleged memo from KWS requiring Sultan Mwitu to explain why he is using the name Simba, Joshua swallowed it whole: line, hook and sinker. In this case, don’t be surprised one of his lieutenants happened to pass by Embakasi, saw people being trained and without thinking, called Joshua with the breaking news.
