Whenever a country discovers minerals and other resources chaos erupts , poverty sky rockets .
So many Nigeria , congo ,immigrants are in Kenya … Oil rich countries in Africa are no longer stable wars and wars …
I think of congo , to congo people those rich minerals are irrelevant to it’s citizen only few tycoons n politicians benefit the rest is poverty poverty… If by any chances the gold in western Kenya is there … Expect terror groups to rise there this will be worse than the skinny somalis tumezoea … Inaitwa divide n conquer …
When minerals are discovered in an area authorities need a way to depopulate the area to enable widespread mining. And since going to court to make the local population move out would take ages and lots of money needed for compensation, money which is not available upfront, the easiest way is to send gangs to terrorize the residents to move out and pretend to resettle them in a “secure area”. That way you kill two birds with one stone ie you grab their minerals fields and also avoid compensation.

I am happy since we don’t have any meaningful minerals in the highly populated areas of Kenya. But reports of minerals in remote areas of NEP, Turkana, Samburu etc may lead to those areas becoming volatile and the residents may be forced to move to secluded areas.
