The obituary of the late veteran politician Nicholas Biwott has cast yet another blanket of mystery around the total man.
It was a short obituary that looked like it was hurried. Devoid of information. It lacked in feelings and emotions. It was just a blank mash of words staring out from the newspaper.
It did not state the cause of death or the illustrious career of the late Biwott who was among the richest Kenyans. There was not record of his immediate or extended family. In fact, the media has been blocked from speaking to the family spokesperson, lawywer Stephen Kipkenda.
The only thing from the obituary was a fickle message that the Total Man shall be missed by his family and that the funeral arrangements have began officially.
Actually that’s how obituaries are done in other parts of the world. In Kenya ex-peasants with low self esteem feel the need to tell us useless details about a dead person. Like giving a list of all their relatives, including the companies they work for. What’s the ferking point?
spot on,
nakusema ako private wing ya mortuary nikaa yeye ndiye hufunga mlango na ndani wakiwa usiku sacco alafu anazima taa kisha anajilaza kwa fridge
Kwanza you can never miss this info in our obituaries " XXX received the Lord as his personal savior in the year YYYY @ such and such a place." Why not even write XXX was a regular patron @ Lala salama bar and lodging.
ES, nikuulize. Difference ya kina Lee funeral home na mortuary mtu ya kawaida huenda tofauti ni gani? Hata io private wing mortuary ni gani. Saidia peasant aelewe hii maneno.
Good question! Every single rich or prominent person goes to Lee Funeral Home. Infact that’s one way of knowing the deceased alikuwa na kakitu…What’s so special about the place?
I envy the owner of Lee funeral. Everything points to better days ahead, especially ukiangalia the next in line according to @paparazzi 's lineup. I believe they project their sales, so wanasema XYZ anaweza kufa before elections- hio ni 500K, nanii nayeye akufe by august, etc…
Huko Lee kila mtu huwa na room yake, proper care of the body yani haitarusha rusha, services like embalming, facial alignment ama vile wanaziita huwa top notch etc etc
