Those raft of measures sent a clear message to those who can read between the lines…NHIF has serious cash flow issues and the measures were to buy it some time. The government is broke and it’s increasingly becoming clear.

Yani 54% ni salo etc, 24% advertising, 10%etc ni travel and entertainment, actual money for treatment of Kenyans ni 10%, hii na NSSF ni cash cow.

To me the real scandal is when the CEO appeared before a parliamentary committee and revealed that of all the payments NHIF does, almost 60% is paid to private hospitals
