A friend has a recurring fungal infection on the leg ,just below the ankle,for the last five years,dawa amemeza karibu one tonne.Any one who knows one within Nairobi can advice/direct me to his/her office.

There was a doctor Wairimu Imalingat based at Nelson Awori centre 2nd Floor karibu na upper hill medical centre. She is a good demartologist.

Oh Jebus, just walk into any serious hospital and stop playing! My friend ignored hers for the longest and it developed into osteomyelitis! This could cost a whole fvcking leg!

Might be a chronic ulcer. May not be caused by a fungus but due to other factors such as poor circulation of blood or diabetes.
Visit the Docs who have been suggested up there. Or any other you are comfortable with. S/He’ll do tests, examine the lesion on the leg and guide you on management of the condition.
You shouldn’t have waited five years. At extremes of differential diagnosis, could be skin cancer. Complications such as abscesses, bone infections (osteomyelitis) and gangrene may start soon.
I don’t think you need a dermatologist but if you insist there is one at afya center tom mboya by the name dr Monda
piga picha tuone maybe we can help hapa hapa… i used to have one kwa toe nikaenda all places hadi Nai hospital they were saying ni fungal infection dawa kama zote nikapewa… bt never ever ever ever haikuwahi pona… just a kid from University told me what to do na ile dawa nitatumia… after 4months was okay… before dawa nilitumia toka 2010 up 2013.

Lazima wapiga Xray hiyo mguu. Na hiyo pus wafanye swab test. Inaonekana infection ime enea mpaka kwa mfupa.
Wapime sukari na HIV.
Iko TB ya ngozi na mfupa. Lazima wangalie hiyo pia.
