FP is quite dynamic, it is a complex matrix of factors that will be specific to the country of interest. For example, Kenya’s FP towards Somalia has largely been driven by security considerations due to Al shabaab factor and hundreds of kilometers-long porous border that both countries share. The same can not be said about Kenya and Uganda, or Kenya and TZ, despite Kenya also sharing expansive borders with both countries.
Relations with the US have been driven by trade and military cooperation, while relations with China have largely been trade related. TZ’s relations with China have largely been economic and military as well, if I am not wrong. So, I would say that while economic factors have been a major driver of Kenya’s FP, there are many other factors that determine the relations between any two countries.
Foreign Policy is not something that has no order. Foreign policy is the position of the country in front of other countries.
Your writing shows that you do not know the purpose of any policy.
Your country must recognize your interests.
Your country got independence many years ago but it is still run like a young country.
