Actually, they are doing everything they can to OVERTHROW the government through court processes.
If you take time and look at the history of the electoral cycle, starting with 2013 to date, you will see a web of well laid out plans, with great timings, to ensure that elections are not held on the 8/8. It has nothing to do with the incompetence of the IEBC
