Kenya Wildlife Service has dispatched a team to track at least five lions and hyenas terrorising residents of Magarini in Kilifi county.
The lions are suspected to have escaped from Tsavo National Park and Boni Forest.
They are said to have invaded villages in the area and killed several domestic animals.
Adan Alio, KWS Coast conservation assistant director, said the team was instructed to trap the animals and drive them out of the location.
A lion attacked a 10 year-old girl as she slept in their house in Kwale county and dragged her body to a nearby forest on Tuesday.
