Soon to be done. Mambo ya mafuta. @spear anaweza kutuelezea zaidi, sio?
Spectacularly beautiful countryside!
Ironically when the road will be complete this year upto the Ethiopia border their sections across the border is now terrible. The area is rebelling against Addis Ababa and therefore not a priority.
The guy does his trips around the world in that car! It must be one very reliable machine! Pity those lovely old toys are being overtaken by times!
So, what about the one from Kitale to the South Sudan border? Should we expect something similar in the near future?
Added on my bucket list
The model is of 1964 or thereabouts but he made the car with newish and reliable parts. I’ve loved his blog and will be reading it when I am free and not making billions.
I was those sides over the weekend. A qtr plot at Wamba town is 30-60k.

Sorry Mr. Allion
My dad always reminds me that we don’t make cars strong and reliable as they used to. He is right, he still has the old faithful and still works great.
Ongoing launched by Turkana governor, world bank funded-they actually released the funds on time but we have some years to go before its done due to the distance and logistics involved.
He seemed to have had a terrible time in Ethiopia with the locals and road. He should also have done a TV feature of the same for discovery.
“I was determined not to stop. I arrived in Awassa between 11pm and midnight. I had been on the road for more than 16 hours, I was sick, I was exhausted. I had spent the day abusing my car, being sworn at, being screamed at, and being lied to. I found the nicest hotel in town and collapsed on the bed after a hot shower, my first since Nairobi. I wanted to be back in Kenya more than anything. It was an awful shock to go from a country where everyone had been so sweet to me, to a country where I was treated with unveiled and open hostility. But now I had no choice but to keep going, there was no way I was going to head back down that road again.”
@Da Vinci endelea part ya Ethiopia hapa plus pics please
Spoiler, meffi. I started reading from the beginning of the blog. :D:D
this is definitely on my to do list
Good article too
After reading the follow-up articles, I am happy to confirm that Kenya is not the worst place after all. Even our cops wana afadhali.
I have forced myself to stop and not read the whole blog tonight. Kenya is reforming, people are more learned and exposed. That is one part among many that make travelers prefer here. Just ask @Okiya why Kenyans are prefered in almost all recreation facilities in UAE.
