I really think news editors in Kenya need to style up this is not the way to report news…Or did they mean the launch of the project is in June? Bure kabisa. If you cannot maintain a working road system you do not deserve a tram. We will most likely end up with an overpriced project without much utility.Picture this, we have a railway line from the city to embakasi, kibera, eastlands, and syokimau. This line is virtually idle most of the times while vehicles clog the roads. Why not buy the trams and put them on those lines. Simple common sense. You don’t even need to have much money, 1 million bob can fetch you a used electric carriage from Japan.Burma did that and now have a functioning tram system.

Usinikumbushe. That road passes through all those densely populated areas and the bus stops along it are woefully inadequate to say the least. Most can barely accommodate a single 33-seater minibus.
