Nairobi National Park - Looters' Dream

In the past several days, several ‘Bloggers’ have been writing about the Nairobi National park, and whether it has any economical value, whether it should be shut, relocated etc.

Methinks that the looters have finally set their eyes on that land, and it won’t be long before it is subdivided ‘for the public good’.

Once the lions started ‘escaping’ some months ago, and the bypass and SGR were routed through park land, the ball was already set in motion.

the level of ignorance…

waaah Nigeria must be their role model

This will ruin Kenyatta’s legacy. Those screenshots are by Jubilee employers, they’re just testing the waters to see the reaction, wakiona watu wametulia, io kitu itagawanywa. Why are they all posting simultaneously about the same issue? Leo ndio wameona hio shamba?

How much does the Indian ocean bring? C waende wagawane ocean basi! This is GREED and the worst thing is, when they take that land it will only benefit a few guys in gava. I have never gone for a protest lakini if they try that nonsense and protests zikue I must be present. Bad things happen because good keep quiet.

Do you mean Uhuru is trying to ruin his legacy?

They should leave the park alone… next utaskia wanataka uhuru park

Aviator pia alikuwa hapa akitaka ipewe private developers to turn it into a githurai 44/45

I bet most of those yapping here have never planted a tree their entire life.
What have you ever individually done for conservation?

Am crying for you my beloved country Kenya,am not surprised, we grab school land to build commercial properties, while others are expanding their Learning Institutions.
A couple of weeks ago, I was watching a documentary about The US National Park, one thing that was certain , almost 70% of the land that is national park, was purchased by individuals, including the Grand Canyon.
Na sisi hapa we are running to the bottom

There is enough land for settlement in kenya for all. We should be thinking of developing other towns and lure people out of nairobi. That park should not be given to any private developer it belong to all of us. It doesn’t matter whether it is visited by tourist or not, it is already playing a big role in preserving our biodiversity.

so this neanderthal went for an evening drive in the park and was surprised they only met five tourists? and that therefore gives reason for the park to be turned into a gated community? We are truly doomed and money can make people say the dumbest things

I’m pretty sure their price is a mid range tablet and some few thousand shillings.

Solution ni relocate Kibera slum inhabitants if the park is so important

Mike Sonko once suggested that Uhuru Park should be turned into a matatu termini but alizimwa na Kenyans online

That is a bit too steep for some bloggers I see around here. They sound like a 1200 shillings worth meal at a 3-star facility would really get their slow minds to work a little faster.
A tablet would get some to walk around the streets naked.
