In the next one month I intend to complete a HTPC raspberry project. I have been procrastinating on this for a while now but it’s about time. You can follow this thread if you wan’t to initiate a similar project you could learn a thing or three. If you have completed a raspberry project you could take a second, or maybe more to share tips and your experience. So here are the items I will be purchasing this month
I intend to use this for streaming live media on a HDTV which I am yet to buy…still shopping around. I hope I could source some of these items locally. However price must remain the same since this must be a low cost project.
Mine is coming In a few weeks…I got one that was pre installated not the developer version for a UHDTV was thinking of getting a Vizio 60’ for around 400$ or an LG ultra HD projector
Yes. It is a low cost single board computer that you can do a lot with. It’s also easily programmable…My goal is to build a low cost Home Theater Pc and stream live TV using a Zuku’s 10mbps Internet connection.

Chromebit ManufacturerAsus; Google Introduced 31 March 2015 Cost US$85[1] Type Computer on a stick. Memory RAM 2GB, ROM 16GB ConnectionWi-Fi, Bluetooth PortsHDMI, USB
The chromebit, chromecast, roku stick, fire stick and the intel compute stick are proper streaming devices… In future I may want to do more than streaming with it. Maybe change OS, Maybe connect camera’s to it etc. Then these devices are expensive unless you bump on some offer. The cheapest price I have seen for the intel stick on ebay is $89, the chromebit is way cheaper but still not as good as the intel compute stick. Maybe in future I will consider these.
