my LG 32" is dim, tried adjusting brightness, energy save in vain

my LG 32" is very dim and it started abruptly ,without a warning. I have tried setting to factory in vain. Tried adjusting brightness, energy save in vain. Please assist me on which other way i can resolve this issue.

i like how niggas in Kenya will spend 40K on a Tv but can-t be bothered to spend 300 bob on a surge protector.
