If you think Kenya is a bad place to be then go to the U.K and you find people dying in the streets from cold, go to Singapore and you realize the cost of an apartment in town is upwards of kes 200000 and they have to import water from Malaysia, go to Dubai and you will buy a litre of water more than that of petrol, and if you think you can do without it then remember you are in a climate hitting 50° C, go to Finland and find a place where food is so costly people go to buy it in Sweden, go to Japan and you will be buying a kilo of tomatoes at kes 500, go to Australia and tell me how you find living underground as ground temperatures are unbearably high, go to Libya and you will see a county without a single river people dig deep into Sahara’s aquifer to find it, go to South Africa and you will come across more discrimination than in India, go to the US and stay for a month without a job and you will be more miserable than you can imagine, or move farther north and when you find yourself with only four hours of sunshine you will come back running. That is not to say I support the frustrations Kenyans are undergoing; I greatly deplore what is happening and can’t wait for next year to find sane candidates to put in office, but let’s not think there is a better place out there but instead make our place better because with the kind of climate we have, location in Africa, human resources and our beautiful landscape, if we work to get the right systems and people in place this would be the best country in the world. .
