In the just released KCPE results, one of the candidates, it has been reported that Armelia Jacobeth scored 402 marks from a prison/remand cell.
While she was thoroughly celebrated, and justifiably so, there have been different reports from the media, with some reporting that she was a form three drop-out and others reporting she had enrolled for a post-graduate qualification when she was arrested for allegedly killing her mother.
Yet in other section of the media, they are just celebrating a lady who achieved excellence from a remand/prison cell - no questions asked.
There is a lot of laziness from our media.
