Some other account reports that fighter jets have been scrambled and are currently bombing al shabaabs. There should be a lot of truth in the statement.

The truth is that KDF and the Somali army have suffered heavy casualties but the battle continues…KDF has engaged its fighter jets to drop shells on the fleeing Al-Shabaab…expect heavy civilian casualties from the airstrikes.

To be read in the East African Community Group on FB:

It a very SAD DAY for Kenya today as at least fifty soldiers killed on Friday by the armed Islamist al-Shabaab organization in Somalia in an attack, carried out against one of the bases of the African Union peacekeeping mission.!!!
At least now- 61 Kenyan soldier’s bodies was counted after the siege. The attacks of 30 trucks, tanks and armored vehicles captured from the military.
