Raila launches e-fundraising to mobilise resources ahead of 2017 elections

[I]Cord leader Raila Odinga has started a resource mobilisation drive as he prepares to make his fourth stab at the presidency next year.

Irked by what Cord terms “massive corruption” by the Jubilee administration, Raila aims to pool funds as he prepares to face-off with President Uhuru Kenyatta in the August 7, 2017 elections.

The Cord leader has appointed former Kisumu West MP Ken Nyagudi as the director of E-Fundraising and Resource Mobilisation. In a letter dated May 23, Raila told Nyagudi: “This appointment requires you to liaise with many stakeholders in and outside Kenya. You will also be required to brief me regularly and work closely with my secretariat.”

The largest fund-raising effort JaKuon ever had was in 2007.

Then, he shocked Kenya with a slick, US-style campaign for the first time ever, with billboards, posters, scripted media appearances and Dick “pro bono” Morris. He had collected millions from the US diaspora and ‘investors’ who had regime-change in their minds. Some were known mercenaries.

In 2013, with less foreign money and local campaign staff that excelled in eating and in-fighting, the campaign was worse than some done by aspiring MCAs. The official branded vehicles looked like this:

And the compe was a well-oiled machine that hopped from one mega-rally to the next on these:

This time, the foreign donors have decreased even more, and not many are willing to be fleeced for the third time. I think that JaKuon will just collect his fat nomination (anointment) fees, mount another hopeless effort, and then call it quits.

Siyo hiyo pekee. There was Paybill 673673 before that, intended for ‘disaster relief’ in the arid North.

I have inquired 4 times on the RAO website about the funds that were raised, but no answer is forthcoming. I believe that JaKuon uses such campaigns to finance the globe-trotting lifestyle that he got addicted to as PM.

@Nattydread unapenda siasa za baba sana. Kwani alikufanyia nini? Make it a daily routine kutuangushia thread moja ya babuonand his allies

Huyu Nyagudi si yule alikuwa kwa news ati sikuhizi ni mkulima nambari moja na ati hataki kurudi siasa tena? Eish

If you know how to research, you will find me everywhere JaKuon is. I really enjoyed watching his mess in 2012/2013, and it looks like he’s going to do a sequel next year. JaKuon is a mission: he must be stopped!

is the 36 bloggers tag meant to make one ashamed?

O

Oh no, infact he should be providing details about his blog. We’ll give traffic.

ZINAWEZA NUNUA 5000 PCS MACHINE CUT STONES?

Have you ever seen how a cornered cat behaves?
That’s babuon right now, he will throw tantrums, curse, use all illegal means but at the end of the day he knows he’s done .
And it’s long since we had/heard of a poll from Ombitho saying how babuon is closing the gap.
Bottled!

isn’t the choice to provide details his to make? isn’t there a possibility the said bloggers are someone’s hallucinations, some sort of deja vu

Which 36 bloggers? I have no personal blog, but have been on boards since before JaKuon’s first official thumping in 1997. We laughed at the way he bent over after that to let MO1 slide in. It is known as the 'helikopta yawa!" incident, or ‘mambo bado’.
