African founded companies usually have small market capitalization because they are limited to their founders countries of origin. Or region. Eg Equity Bank is only in East Africa. Now if it was in the whole of Africa, and there were several such companies, you would have higher chances of an African in top 10 richest.
Because we don’t support our own. We don’t celebrate our own. We buy European narratives about us. We value KFC and despise our own boiled Kienyeji Chicken. We buy japan, and build Japan. We buy Germany, and build Germany.
We measure success by how much of foreign material and currency we have accumulated. Thats why the top 10 are whites. The profits Vodafone makes from Kenya it has never, and will never make them in Europe.
