Movie Recommendations for Your Sunday Playlist

Atlanta S02E02 was out on Friday so better get on it.

Alright.

1. Wheelman
I rarely ever watch action films but I stumbled upon this one and thought I might as well. It’s got the mother of clichés for a story, but, most of it is told from the dashboard view of a car. Fresh spin. I dig it.

2. Into the Wild
It’s a 2007 movie. I just rewatched it. It’s about a man who went on a heck of a journey trying to find himself.

“Happiness is only real when shared”

3. Jumanji - Welcome to the Jungle.
It’s cool. Everyone’s watched the trailer by now.

4. Goodbye Christopher Robin
I watched this movie right after watching The Post (Spielberg + Tom Hanks + Meryl Streep == VERY HIGH EXPECTATIONS). For The Post, I was spoiling for a big budget version of The Newsroom but was rather disappointed.
Goodbye Christopher Robin brought my mind back from the edge of sleep. It’s a story about the story of Winnie the fvcking Pooh. I had a very good time with this movie --It’s my best of the week.

Speaking of stories about stories, you could also catch The Man Who Invented Christmas.

5. Star Wars: The Last Jedi
I don’t know much about the history of the Star Wars, but, I did have fun watching this.

Special Mention.

Columbus
This movie is calming and beautiful. Quite conversations, about architecture and life, in beautiful places – plus soothing soundtrack.
Lots of vertical lines, shots through doors, vistas, symmetry, asymmetry, and depth through linear perspective. I really liked it. Really good to look at.

If you don’t like artistic stuff then this is not for you. It has lots of silent scenes of characters doing mundane stuff like eating breakfast, or smoking, or just thinking.

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
Oh, I really like this one. Why? Why the heck not. I believe it’s the best in the series.

One more thing.
It’s very rare to find a horror flick rated more than 5/10. When I checked out Devil’s Tree: Rooted Evil ratings I thought I had found me a unicorn. Don’t believe the ratings. The movie is trash. Runtime of 1h 14m – SOMEONE INSERT DEAD GIVEAWAY MEME.

Check out Logan Lucky if you like heists movies. It’s also very funny.

Hitler’s circle of evil. Nice documentary and you get to understand how sycophancy and propaganda can kill a race and a country. 10 episodes

Jumanji ni movie ya watoto. I honestly thought it would be fun but ended with total disappointment. Maybe it’s me but give it a try
