Moved Files

Greetings fellow villagers,

Last week I wanted to download a clip from YouTube and in the process I was notified that my storage space (which the download software had set to phone memory by default) was full.

I thought I was smart enough so I “moved” files including Pictures and PDF documents from phone memory to a memory card.

Bad move.

I created space but I can’t see the moved files.

I tried to read the contents of the memory card via a memory card reader on a laptop but I can’t see them.

Tafadhali wanakijiji nisaidieni kabla el nino ioshe hizo files.

Try reading the SD card using a Linux machine. If the content turns out to be gibberish, jua hauna SD anymore. Tupa kwa dust bin

Good idea.Am trying right away. Will give feedback.

Linux Mint inaisoma but am just seeing the normal folders but the files I moved are still playing a houdini on me

Remember to unhide everything.

My friend, leo mimi kesho wewe.Ni hayo tu kwa sasa.

Mmc write error…pata tu memcard ingine

Memory card is still readable/writable.Only moved files ndio sizioni.

I just want to recover the moved files.I know there are numerous Recovery tools but a recommendation from here will suffice.

if u are rooted tafuta an app called undeleter from playstore or Black market,( the one with an icon similar to dustbin)
better still mount your internal storage as removable device on pc and use icare Data recovery or MMC card recovry (Available from torrents)

usijali jaribu i uone kama itawork kwa windows lakini
enda cmd.exe
attrib -h -r -s /s /d g:*.*

replace g with the drive letter assigned to the sd card

Let me try iCare and see results

Shukran kaka. Will try in the evening and give results.

Also delete the system32 folder on your laptop, it gets fucked up with copy pasting.

Do I delete the whole folder or just the contents of the folder?

Hehe
