I would like someone to conduct a survey of the number of employees by tribe in multi national companies in Kenya. Employment in such places is for the most part based on merit rather than on tribal affiliation.

The fact that kikuyus are buying plots doesnt mean that they dont have land in their rural areas. Many kikuyu leave their homes after school to look for opportunities elsewhere and settle in the new areas and thus buy plots to build their homes, rentals in their new areas.

Dumb cunt when were concentration camps broken up. Upto 1967 there were people still living in camps. Up to date there are unsettled IDPs like Kia Maina in Nyahururu
When the British started their colonialism and managed to subdue all the difficult tribes in Kenya, they claimed that “the kikuyu will be the 1st to rise up again and resist our rule”, and true, it came to that in 1952, when the KAU radicals and former ww2 veterans(“anake a 40” - the young men of 1940) saw that the white man was never serious about their welfare and would continue oppressing them and started Mau Mau movement.
The Kikuyus were also the Kenyans who interacted most with the British by the fact that it was mostly their land that was occupied by the settlers.
From this they suffered most under the colonial rule together with their GEMA brothers., they were also the 1st to adopt the white mans culture, education, religion and commercial activities like Coffee and Tea farming en masse.
All this coupled with the fact that they occupied most of what became the nations capital politically and financially gave them a huge head-start.
And then the biggest boost came when a Kikuyu formed the 1st govt.
Historical Note:
The British wanted to build the railway station and main camp at Machakos (which was also considered initially as their main operations center) when constructing the Uganda railway, but due to water scarcity, they opted to operate from Nairobi. Maybe today Machakos would be the capital and Kambas would be the rulers of this land we call Kenya.
