Mohamed Amin

Jana i was tuned to KTN for a documentary of the above who moved the world in tears by covering the great famine in Ethiopia.

The famous photo journalist achieved a fete that can never be compared any where else in the world.
His pictures and documentaries moved the world.
This man was in every war front you can think of during his time.
From covering the atrocities of Iddi Amin and Mengistu Haile Mariam to having the first photo of Tom Mboya was shot the rest is history.
Its in Ethiopia where he lost his arm during an explosion and went to America for a prosthetic one that was battery operated and the funny thing it had an external socket to plug his camera in case its battery ran out.
His death was tragic as a hijacked Ethiopian plane ran out of fuel after hijackers refused to have the plane fueled in Kenya.
He took the last breath before it crashed in Comoros islands.
Am currently looking for the documentary he did called AFRICAN CALVARY.
Its because of this coverage that the world converged and the song WE ARE THE WORLD-USA for Africa was done.
Ni hayo tu kwa sasa wanakijiji.
