Nimekuwa mtaani for two weddings za my close relatives and one of them anaishi huku majuu na mwingine anaishi kenya doing very well.
I am not a hater lakini the only thing I noticed about these weddings was the fact that these couples are not just in their late thirties and financially successful, But, both couples have grown up kids and have been together for more than 10 years.!
Got me wondering;
1, why didn’t you get married ten years ago?
2, I all the problems you have both gone through and I am sure that none of them will be resolved just because you are now officially married ( ) thknwmpangozmpangoz…mpangoz.
3, As a society; have we come to accept that A Wedding is something you do to prove to Society that you as a couple have made it in life?..
Mimi when I married my Zulu wife we did it in a Registry office ya kanjo.
We went to a local pub afterwards with our two witnesses and the 9 guests we had managed to scramble together on a Tuesday morning.
I just think that weddings have become a gluttonous orgy of show off and pretentious self adoration.
Wedding ceremonies should be the start of a Marriage., Nowadays,weddings seem to be the Confirmation of “successful” cohabitation… kikikikiikiiiii…
( forgot my @Ka-Buda password) iko kwa laptop huko majuu.
In the meantime, najivinjairi hapa Mutare in Zimbabwe.
Laterz Talkers!..
It’s the reality of how mediocre Kenyans have become. A wedding that costs 1m, or 100k or less , no difference at all challenges will just be the same. A lot of show offs.
Then guys don’t value marriage as an institution.
me i support these glamorous weddings… they make the single girls so delusional; they long for their day to come and will be willing to do anything to please a man who hints at marriage… hapo ndio team mafisi comes in pretending to be searching for wife material
Nilikuwa kwa ingine Sato huko Kitengela , it was just a show off. The couple wedding hawana gari lakini msafara tulikuwa na magari more than 20, a Mercedes, an X6, a range and the pride was in a limo, all hired. Their first child is 7 years, why not put that money aside for the kids education and spend 50k on a simple wedding?
Weddings are overrated though I have no problem if one is able to fund own wedding, problem comes in when friends and relatives are 'forced’to contribute to the said charades
Dennis Okari is yet to recover from the cost of his wedding . Marriage lasted only one month. He does not even own a house. Still renting. Drives a beaten japanese car.
