I am reading Walking In Kenyatta Struggles: My Story by Duncan Ndegwa.

This particular quote from a report about Indians from a committee chaired by Lord Delamere caught my attention.
“Physically,the Indian is not wholesome influence… (he) has an incurable repugnance to sanitation and hygiene…in addition the Indian is possesed with moral depravity,equally damaging to Africans,innocent in the ways of the East. The Indian is also inclined to crime as well as vice,specifically of theft”

If i were to herald a guess, Lord Delarmere was a cattle man, the indians despised him for making money out of gods, he inturn thought that they drink water from the same river they shit in…
