A prisons officer has accidentally shot and killed his colleague, an Inspector in Eldoret town.
The deceased, Robinson Awal had accompanied his colleague and his girlfriend to reclaim a child she sired with another man from a previous relationship at Kenya Service estate.
“The two officers engaged in an argument with the alleged father of the child which prompted one of the officers to fire in the air. His colleague tried to warn him to stop but unfortunately, the second shot hit him in the head and he died instantly”, a witness said.
