I’m paraphrasing what my mechanic said, NV200 kanapendewa leafs, Gari zingine za iyo class zinakuja coiro. Anyway, Mercedes rushed into that segment, I guess due to FOMO when Isuzu Dmax teamed up with Mazda to birth the BT 50, but then they didn’t make the sales they had hoped for, and realised the Nissan Merc collaboration was a premature decision.
My Navara has served me well in ways and means a hilux wouldnt… hilux mgongo ingekuwa ishaenda
Go touch some grass, comparing navara with Hilux is criminal.
I wish mercedes still made them. Those pickups look so nice especially the high spec ones.
Hii si ndio inaitwa Rebadging?
Simple math.
The X-Class uses the Navara’s chassis.
The X-Class uses the Navara’s engine and transmission.
All they did at Daimler was change the Navara’s interior to have Mercedes specific switches.
Imagine buying a Nissan, at the price point of a Merc.
Service and parts you buy Nissan’s at Mercedes prices.
How?
X-Class has Mercedes-specific suspension and safety technology.
While everything is backward compatible on the Navara, for the X, you buy the Merc options only, hata filters, you’ll see the price difference.
I’d rather buy the Navara, sit pretty knowing what I’m driving.
On the other hand the below beast would disrupt the market, all the Hilux and DMax guys would be spoilt for choice
