What is the big deal about men in the kitchen making meals that require effort more than boiling and a bit of imagination. Today I made baked coconut fish and rice for a late lunch (posted it in a thread somewhere) and seemed to elicit rather interesting comments. A friend passed by later and was also surprised at the time spent preparing it, though aliipenda.
Shouldn’t guys put in the effort, time and imagination to prepare meals for themselves/families that they would enjoy, something different than normal everyday food?
I think cooking should be approached with imagination, what will I cook today?
Unabahati. If @fabian mburu found you in the kitchen ungechapwa halafu akuoe.
You must be the kind of guy I always dreamt about.
I love cooking/grilling (that’s one secret I keep tightly to my chest) but I hate cleaning up after, so am always at loggerheads with the wife about it. Made a pizza for lunch for my son and I while the girls were at the salon then we sat down in the kitchen an ate it all and left the mess so we have been given a strict warning which am pretty sure will be broken in less than a week.
If you have more time tomorrow, please read Austin Bukenya’s Reflections Of A Scholar on page 34 of the Saturday Nation of Feb. 20,2016. That is if you haven’t already read it given all that free you had waiting for the fish to marinate…just used cookery language. :D:D:D:D:D:D
Will try and find the paper, in a nutshell what was it about? @jimmy_m yea didnt like cleaning up too lakini bachelor has to hakuna mtu wa kunioshea vyombo
I am.
I only cook nikiachwa kwa nyumba peke yangu ama kama hakuna msichana otherwise sitakanyaga jikoni though can cook everything from chapo to any other isht…

Men should just know how to grill meat or make nyam chom zingine achia wanawake
Then why don’t you cook? Its your stomach
I left it to my sisters, mum n gf
There is nothing unmanly about cooking, actually if you think about it you realize that it’s more of an art
Unless wewe ni chef
Good food comes from the heart and its an art!
My thoughts exactly, good food does not rain on us from heaven, someone has to cook.
Interesting thing is that jikoni za hoteli are populated by men. I’ve always wondered if the same men cook for their women @ home.
Nope wanawake should cook and give their men food nyumbani. Hata kama wewe ni chef roles should not be reversed
Mimi nilioa kutoka hizo area wanawake wamelaaniwa na story za upishi. Alikuwa anapika ugali anaifunika kama mchele. Ilibidi nikae jikoni n teach her b4 my mother wonders what kind of woman I married. Hata hii avocado hao hujisifu nayo was a problem when making kachumbari. But she’s getting there pole pole.
those of us like me who can only cook tea and eggs are wondering how you even start on ‘baked coconut fish’

Some women are fiercely territorial kitchen ni yake na haufai kugusa anything ata househelp hapaswi kupika chakula ya familia…
