Megapixel Is Warped Way Of Judging A Camera's Performance, Same Case Applies To Audio Systems, PMPO

For years, people have looked at a camera’s resolution (or megapixel count) to estimate image quality. Indeed, this was a semi-reliable metric for a few years in the early 2000s — a 5MP camera would certainly deliver better results than a VGA one. However, judging a camera’s imaging performance based on its resolution alone isn’t possible anymore. We’ve seen smartphones with 12MP and 16MP cameras triumph over 108MP behemoths on several occasions now.

Beyond a certain point, an increase in resolution doesn’t yield noticeable improvements — unless you want to crop in. Many mid-range smartphones offer high-resolution cameras but often yield grainier and worse results than DSLR cameras with far lower megapixel counts. This is mostly because smartphones are constrained by physical space and use smaller image sensors than high-end cameras.

Audio Systems can be confusing if you start looking at the big numbers such as 10,000W. Hata oven haina such a huge rating. These numbers are purely to promote sales.

Very true.

There’s no comparison between phone photos taken with 64MP vs 24MP DLSR Cannon or Nikon camera. The difference comes due to Digital Vs Optical Zoom.

Digital Zoom is Software based while Optical Zoom is Mechanical through movement of lenses

True. tulikuwa tunadiscuss hii kwa gym few minutes ago.

Kweili. Optical Zoom is superior.

Ndio maana unaona fake phones wanapenda sana kisema sijui phone Iko na camera ya 64 Megapixels but ukiweka hiyo picha Kwa screen kubwa it is as grainny as fvck

A samsung with a 12MP camera has better picture quality than a Xiaomi with a 48MP camera. Take that to the bank.

You are a fool.
Samsung supplies camera parts to Xiaomi.

Sisemi hivo nugu hii

Xiaomi can buy camera hardware from Samsung but processing techniques are not for sale.
This means that advantage Samsung has is mostly about its ability to make superior image processing software.

Samsung supplies many manufacturers with components, from chips to screens in turn Samsung is supplied other components such as batteries by Sanyo and Matsushita (Panasonic)

Wacha kudanganya elders. Kuna difference between DSLR camera and smartphone camera. As a photographer kuna alot of differences. DSLR can capture motion using the shutter speed. A smartphone haiwezi. DSLR can blurr the background and have clear picture using aperture. You can also change the warmth of the pictures using ISO. A phone used most of natural light place kuna darkness haitaget clear pictures itakuwa grainy.

ISO adjusts brightness, not warmth.
Warmth is adjusted through Whitebalance/temperature.

It can together with the aperture and shutter speed

Most phone cameras do pixel binning at 12mp and quality of photos is determind by the image processing softwares. A case of iphones who have a 16Mp camera but their photos are incredibly better quality than the likes of samsung with 108MP sensors.

Image processing software is the key

Any time
