By the time i had come out from my Brief interview,Liz had changed her mind about wanting to go back home.
I reckon she had just been lonely and the fact that she saw 2 other Kenyans brought her alot of comfort.
Its not easy being a Foreigner and a Black at that,;standing out like a sore thumb as well so i totally understood when i found Liz waiting for me at the Waiting area and totally ignoring the calls on the Screen for her to go in for her “interview”
JG was also waiting for me and Totally oblivious to the fact that i had made a “Spiritual” Connection with Liz.
And they were seated on opposite sides of the waiting room as i walked back in.
I walked straight back in Liz`s Direction and went o to introduce JG to Liz like i had known her forever!
JG was taken aback but JG is not the kind of Nigga that will let his emotions or Surprises show because he had an “Eastlando” Mentality.
See,;JG was from Buru and was raised by her mum after his parents divorced when he was young.
JG was a Hardcore Nairobian who attended Jamuhuri High when it was Honourable to go to “Jamu”.
JG was a likable type of guy because he was witty and wild!
This Faka still surprises me to date even when we are countries apart and when people say that “You cannot Choose your Family but that some Friends are the Family you Choose”; I totally understand…
Me and JG had just got a 2 bedroom apartment very close to Campus and it was all down to JG!
JG had managed to convince the Owner of the Apartment Block that we were the Sons of African Politicians and that we would take her for Safari in Kenya for free…
This was just typical JG! This Nigga could sweet-talk the sugar out of a cup of tea for Faks sake! All the women that JG came across liked him and he knew how to make them Laugh their way out of their knickers! JG was Banging the Land-Lady before too long and i knew it. JG Loved women and women Loved JG! And it didnt take any amount of convincing when i explained to JG that Liz wanted us to help her find a place to stay until the start of the next Semester because she had Fallen out with her Flat-mates at her previous accommodation.
Ofcourse we would find her a Bedsit in our Apartment Block because JG would ask the Land-Lady and we knew that there was a vacant Bedsit on the 3rd Floor.
Liz came from a “Monied” family and her dad was a Director at one of Kenya`s Biggest Banks.
Liz was so spoilt that her parents used to phone her from Kenya on my phone and i always felt intimidated everytime her father would call my number wanting to speak to Liz!,… i mean this is a guy that often appears on the news and Newspapers but to look at Liz and the way she carried on;you would have never thought so!
Her father sent her all the Deposit money and Expenses Cash,Rent etc. on top of paying Her Full Fees for her Studies!
Me and my Nigga JG would often wonder how lucky she was as we did cleaning jobs just to support ourselves but for her,it was just Normal!
JG was too busy Chasing White Pussy so me and Liz grew closer and closer with every passing day.
In my Inferiority Complex Mindset though; i could have Never envisaged a ny Romance between me and Liz.
How could such an Uptown Girl Want a Riff Raff like me anyway?
But Liz had other Ideas!..
