[5/24, 22:00] Denis Wainaina: It’s so painfull when you come up with solutions that you know can and will help a national government increase revenue and at the same time seal any and all loopholes open to swindling tax payer’s money… Then it’s rejected for excuses like the solution is too expensive or they do not have budget.
We spent long hrs, days and months at times years pushing solutions to the likes of these national institutions mentioned in scams over the past few months… But the Senior IT guys/decision makers opted for third party solutions that have not been authenticated nor verified anywhere on this earth.
All they wanted were free trips to centres of excellence and kickbacks through our implementation partners so that they could buy into the solution… But we couldn’t give in.
We discussed issues like securing their systems from internal and external intrusion (cyber security) but they didn’t see the sense in our conversations… The main point they kept on bringing up was whether they would have unique passwords that cannot be traced to them… We told them it’s impossible… Coz a power Admin can access each and every user’s password if need be…
Now i understand why 3rd party solutions were a preferable option as opposed to Vendor certified solutions…
Kaboom… … The games they have been craftily orchestrating has come back to bite the…
IFMIS implementation was shoddy from the get go… Too many loopholes… Storo for another day.
The beginning of many more scams to be unearthed from National to County to dispensary level…

Then the courts aren’t doing us any good. We are doomed…
