Matiangi responds to DCI Summons

Former Interior CS Fred Matiang’i says he will not be available for questioning by the DCI on Friday since he is out of the country.

The DCI on Thursday summoned him for interrogation regarding the alleged raid at his Karen home on the night of February 8.

Detective Michael Sang said the former CS should appear before him at Mazingira House at 9.30 am on Friday “without fail.”

“I have reasons to believe that you, Dr Fred Matiang’i, the former Cabinet secretary, Ministry of Interior and National Co-ordination, are connected to the offence or have information which can assist me in my investigations,” Sang said.
