There are days you wake up inspired. Then there are days inspiration catches you along the way. Today is the latter. You woke up feeling rather lousy. A sore throat indicates that a cold is doing press ups before it attacks.
But you ignore it and get to the office as usual. And your morning ritual does not change. Go through the newspapers. Skimming through political parts quickly. It is not like politicians say anything new or unexpected. You find a few interesting articles in the Business Daily, read and email your boss and colleagues. Then straight to the crossword puzzle to wake your brain. And you are done by 8am. Inspiration has come in buckets and sufurias.
You finish the tasks on your desk quickly. You even finish the more boring tasks that have been on your desk for days. The ones you keep saying “I will do later in the day”. You are on a roll.
Until you get to a task that involves codes and percentages for whatever levies, duties and tariffs. It smells like mathematics. And if it smells like mathematics it is probably mathematics. And you are allergic to mathematics. A cough escapes before you can restrain it. Even the cold knows it is more welcome than mathematics. One more percentage, one more tariff, and you will be sneezing like a goat that has chewed tobacco and inhaled pepper spray!!!
Kuna mtu aliniuliza…a guy came and stole sh100 from a shop. Kidogo kidogo akarudi Na Ile Mia Na kununua goods za 70 bob Na kurudishiwa 30 bob change. How much is did the shop keeper loose?
Nilimwangaliaaaa nikamwambia apewe tusker moja tumalize hako ka maneno.
this here is gold ( Even the cold knows it is more welcome than mathematics. One more percentage, one more tariff, and you will be sneezing like a goat that has chewed tobacco and inhaled pepper spray!!! )
Remember update, we have never found the value of X and Y. Students are up to date told to find their values.Did you find their values during your time ?
Kulingana Na Mimi…alipoteza 100…ya kuibiwa kwanza. He is 100 bob less. Huyo jamaa akarudi Na hiyo Mia lakini hakusema Ni Ile aliiba(at this point the shopkeeper is still 100 bob less in cash at hand account) and a similar 100 bob in sales account(this 100 bob he had sold goods). That is 200. Akachukua Ile Mia(thinking it is an increase in his net worth. Kwa mind aka debit cash at hand account with 100 bob but the moment that amount is entered for buying goods it becomes a lie…remember there is a credit entry of 100 bob that was stolen…that leaves him with negative 30 in cash at hand account(loss). Now let us do double entry after he gives out the goods. Sales account decreases by 70 bob but its a loss(fact). 30 bob change decreases this account too(it was for goods once sold). But there is a negative 100 of cash stolen in this account. Total loss is 30+ 70+100…cash at hand account. Then add 100+70+30 kwa sales account. That brings sh 400. By a guy stealing one hundred and coming back to use it has a multiplier effect that makes the shopkeeper loose sh400
