As long as you have the mullah, hawawezi kataa! Ata sijawai elewa difference ya upper na lower! Most of these people huringa na sijui upper utapata ni BA kutoka kabianga. From what iv seen, they dont really matter much in careers.

If i want to know if you are an authority in your field …precisely the reason why people go to ‘institutions of higher learning’ …I would just look at what you got. Utoto unawacha high school. Ukipata second lower, halafu unataka kuharakisha masters hapa inatuonyesha vile kweli your head’s a vacuum

Haya basi, sasa ndo umejua maana ya masomo?

Acha alipiwe fees while the parents/sponsor can. Ingia class ya masters nowadays, like half of them are still youngsters who cleared undergrad and will tarmac while studying. Its better than kukaa tu home watching series. Hawa ndio wanaitishanga salary ya 150k first job!

From that wazazi perspective, I agree

Reminds me of a cuzo of mine who talked behind my back with demeaning words to all and sundry that nlikuwa nalipwa pesa kidogo heri hata nikae home. I used to earn 24K. And he was doing only a diploma.

So now he cleared and he is being paid significantly less and nashindwa mbona harudi home?

Inaitwa reality check! The perception you have while in college is ul be driving in 2 years, living west of uhuru highway apartments blablabla! Used to admire people in suits alot too, all that changed once i started tarmacking. Boss!!! Masters ni pesa tu, and by the look of all these data analysis guys all over tao, hakuna research watu hufanya.

But kenyan job markets are sometimes unfair, how many people have ou seen on tv crying that they have first-class yet have no jobs…then there was this PhD holder in tv sometime back who was brought on coz he had no job and living in abject poverty.

job market ni strategy. If you wanna work lazima u.strategise. U dont go for money first, you go for experience. In between semesters, you volunteer to an organization ndo upate recomm letter. Ukimada try your best usirudi home. Halafu kitu watu husahau lazima uwe memorable and brilliant kwa interview. Kupata first class na kwa interview unajiuma uma mdomo haitakusaidia. Kupata first class na uko na letters za recomm kibao, uko exemplary in your thinking and drive …utaget job. Anzia chini pia. Wachana na kusema huwezi fanya hii job au ile

Acha nicheke tu! Job ni kujuana! While i was busy buying envelopes in bulk hapo seal honey and printing cvs to distribute in offices, kuna some palz walipata jobs within a week after kumaliza, na salo kubwa, thanks to their connections. And thats many years ago. nowadays sorry to say some of these lucrative entry level jobs are being bought.

In 2015 some deluded youth still believe that you need a job to make money and create wealth. I will never take a job paying less than 100k a month, because I make that amount without a ‘job’.

One is upper the other one is lower:D:D:D. On a serious note, vile @Bingwa Scrotum amesema, this guy needs to figure out what he intends to achieve shuleni. Fro his question, he seems unsure of what his objectives are. Kama angekua serious, ktalk would be the last place for him to make such an enquiry. He needs to engage the universities. Hii mambo ya kuendea masters just because jirani ameendea ni upuzi. I know of a lady who is a bachelor and masters holder but kichwa imejaa cow dung. Shule ni kama alikuwa anasindikiza watu.

Clean jobs still do exist. We cannot say 100% of yours and 100% of mine. The universe has exceptions

If I was to use myself as an example,I took up a job paying 8K at the lowest level in a certain company in Nairobi. But with my papers and drive,I was promoted to over bosses to third tier of management. One just needs to know what they want n go for it.

But looking at it most jobs application for top tier positions just state that “A Master’s degree is an added advantage” they put much more emphasis on professional qualifications like acca, cpa and cfa plus also experience. I think one would rather go for experience rather than masters.

Centum investment company, the largest listed investment company in East Africa just announced a position for the head of finance which is a lucrative position if you ask me and no where in the job description is master a compulsory requirement, in fact its not even there. they just stressed enough on the experience (10 yrs) and an undergraduate degree.
