I want to do a complete career change…undergrad was in comp sci but sioni vile nasaidia umati. Is it advisable? People are telling me ati econ ni noma juu ya mahesabu but I did 4 pure maths in under grad too…and im not afraid. Nisaidieni na mawaidha.

Most opportunities seem to be at lecturing and consultancy, far I’ve known. OTOH I’d advice you specialize in areas that you thrive best bila shida, yaani whatever augers well with your brain, all the best.

Hesabu ya Econ sio ngumu kama ya comp science…you can do it and succeed…then what? Heri kumaster hiyo comp science in my opinion…it is more marketable and pays better. Thank me later. Econ is flooded.

Tulikubalia hapa awhile ago MBA if your are not in senior or prospecting for senior management is a total waste of money as of now Fanya Msc either in accounting, finance, actuarial, statistics, biostatistics you will not go wrong (advice from my dear beloved lecturer)
:mad::mad::mad: After undergrad, mtu huwa hafanyi kitu kwasababu watu wanamshow ni poa. Mtu hufanya kitu yeye mwenyewe anajua inamsaidia. SI ushasema class ya MBA hukuona ikikusaidia? Tafuta something along your interests. Wewe ndio unajijua usikuwe kama ile class ya MBA huwa pale UoN imejaa kwasababu kila mtu ana MBA. Na usifanye kitu juu ni marketable. Everyone is busy rushing to do procurement ati kwa sababu ni “marketable”!!! Hiyo marketable huwa trap juu kila mtu anataka. Try and find out what is close to your interests and settle for that. You will be building a career instead of kufanya kitu juu watu wanafanya alafu unakuwa statistics tu kama watu wengi.
