I have always admired how deeply Christians are disconnected from their own religion. Jesus, the Savior features in 99% of the new testament, but his mother, Mary is nowhere to be seen.
Except she has an entire chapter in the Qur’an.
That’s why I stopped going to church.
Why would you trust anything Islam says about Jesus or his family? Jesus lived in the 1st century, Islam appeared in the 6th Century. That is a clean 400 or 500 years after the events it purports to explain or report on. Common sense alone should tell you everything muslims claim to know about Jesus they either heard it from
Christians or they made it up along the way.
Anyway, Islam was built precisely to counter Christianity. Christians say Jesus is the Son of God, muslims say Jesus is the Son of Mary. It’s kinda childish how these debates go and personally I neither believe Christianity nor Islam but simply on the basis of logic it is impossible how someone living in the 6th century (muslims) could know more about Jesus than someone in the 1st century (Christians).

It’s less to do with trust and more to do with reasons why it is the way it is. Judaism, Christianity and Islam are known as Abrahamic faiths, because they can trace their roots back to Abraham (Ibrahim), the father of many nations, and Sarah (Zahra), his wife.
Jesus in Islam is considered a great prophet like Moses (Musa), but is not considered a deity. Because muslims consider it heresy for anyone to put themselves on God’s (Allah’s) level. There’s actually a verse (hadith) in some chapter (surah) explicity asking Jesus who exactly deitified him so as to make him the same as God.
But that’s besides the point. For those who are fascinated by religion, the interplay and interelationship between Christians and Muslims is a fascinatingly complex area of study, and once understood can be applied in solving some of the middle east’s problems.

Hehe. There’s some debate on that.. apparently when Jesus died, for the 3 days he was dead, he went down to hell to retrieve the souls of Abraham, Moses, David, Joshua, Samson, John the Baptist and others who had died before he came down to earth.
When you ask how it’s possible people divinely chosen by God himself can be sent to hell for doing what God instructed them to do, and all there is is silence from the rabbis.
That’s when you realise Christianity is a faith based political tool for not just Romans and Europeans, but for anyone who is willing to twist the words to suit their own narrative. Just look at Harry S. Truman.. he straight up changed the ‘Thou shalt not kill’ commandment to ‘Thou shalt not murder’ so Americans could rationalize Hiroshima and Nagasaki nuclear bombings. Along with millions killed during firebombings of Tokyo, Okinawa and Kobe.
Result? The country has not won a single engagement since August 1945 (Gulf war and Korean war don’t count).

Islam and christianity have no difference when it come to extremism. It’s only that the Christianity today has been washed with wokeness. The golden age of Christianity ended during the times of the Knight templars.
