Spiritual husband

No. Spirit husband is different. Spirit husband is not a dead person who has returned in the flesh, it is actually a spirit. Like you can never see him, he may come to make love to you at night or kill your earthly husbands and or suitors but you will never see him or even dream of him. If you remember that set book by a Nigerian author either Elechi Amadi or Wole Sonyika, was it the River Between? There was a very beautiful woman called Ihuoma she had a gap in her front teeth her husbands kept dying mysteriously. She was not aware it was bcz she was married to a spirit husband.

In this case, a dead person returns in the flesh. In Tanzania they call them msukule. These are people targeted by witch doctors who die under mysterious circumstances such as road accidents or short illnesses, the wizard creates an illusion of the person being dead to their families and then takes the person zombifies them and they become an unpaid slave to the wizard. They do manual labor for free. Something similar has been noted by people in Mali and Haiti.

Here is a spirit husband/ incubus experience

Western mythos on spirit husband and wife. I am still looking for the African one. The more easily available are Greek mythos and English folklore. This would be the English one I guess.
