i see Syokimau turning into the new CBD hadi matatu za upcoutry zishapata stage uko that means kama unaenda Nakuru ukishuka train hakuna haja ya kuingia NRB.
That’s a brilliant one.
But Kenyans are truly one peculiar rot.
For a very long time, every right thinking Kenyan has been of the opinion that Nairobi is too crowded and needs decongesting to allow for much faster movement of traffic.
The SGR planners and thanks to their wisdom saw the futility of worsening an already bad situation and built the Syokimau station way out of the city centre.
That was a master stroke.
In a few years all the relevant infrastructure and support services for SGR travellers will be developed around the new station whether privately or by government.
I was impressed to notice yesterday there are matatu saccos that have seen the potential market and wasted no time introducing services direct to the Syokimau station. Passengers traveling to Mombasa from Nyeri don’t need even need to enter the CBD at all, there’s a sacco that’s transporting them directly to and from the station and you can bet this will be replicated on many other routes.
That was some inspired forward thinking by the planners but trust forever grumbling Kenyans who expected the SGR to drop them bang in the CBD not to see the logic behind it.
Ukiishi hapo ,mambo ni kuorder pilau from downtown coast iwekwe kwa zile mabakuli ziko na aluminium ndani yakuiweka ikae moto.unaorder 6am uko nayo lunchtime
Kenyans are champions of complaining. They use private and public means to get to JKIA bila stress. But complain of using the same to Nairobi terminal just on the other side of Mombasa Rd from JKIA. They want to be picked from home. Anyway commuter rail systems are coming and next you will hear the complains of trees being cut. You want service but can’t comprehend the work needed to get it done.
