When Dennis Kasyoki was confirmed dead, there were 10000s of people that included artists from Ukambani, Radio Presenters, Actors, Actresses, MCs, Fashion Designers from Nyanza, Business people among very many people that mourned him, they even posted his picture with “RIP Nzou” “RIP Dennis” “RIP Kasyoki” “RIP Bro” “RIP 001” etc but very few showed up at his funeral, very few people were involved in his burial arrangement, Why? Because Dennis’ usefulness in their lives was done and finished, Kasyoki did not matter anymore, after all he was dead! Hawakuwa na time for Nzou anymore!

I will ask you this morning, If you die today, will you go to the grave knowing that the people you helped when alive can also help your family, can you count on them to take care of your children, can you count on them to recommend your child, wife, bro, sister, mother, father for a job, business etc?

Can the people you helped when alive, acknowledge that you one day helped them like Ndeke acknowledged and appreciated that Nzou supported him to shoot his song “Dont leave me Jesus” ama they will be too ashamed to say you helped them?

Can they acknowledge that they owe you money and they are committed to pay the debt even in your absence?

Can they show with actions that you really mattered to them when alive? ama they will just use their borrowed Wi-Fi and Bundles post RIP and forget about you and your family?

Can they create time from their busy hustle to “meet” you and give you your last respect here on earth at your funeral ama watakuwa na “tushughuli” mahali?

Ask yourself today, how far will the people you call friends go for you if you die.

Trust me I have seen people attending a funeral just to be seen…but after…no one really follows up. Granted people can help especially with bereavement and support for the family but it can be ardous…best thing is to invest properly so that family can have that cushion…but when you are gone to you these things dont matter including all the wealth you amassed. It is left to be used by strangers unfortunatley
