Sports Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen was on Saturday night heckled while attending the Korom Festival in Eldoret on December 7.
The incident took place at the festival where revellers had converged to celebrate art, music, and culture. Celebrated South African musician Pamela Nkutha was the headlining artist.

The party was rolling on smoothly until Murkomen was invited to the stage to address the audience who turned wild and started booing against him.
The irate audience heckled continuously drowning Murkomen’s speech. As a result, he was forced to end his speech prematurely.

Overpowered by the rising booing, Murkomen had to leave the stage to avoid further beratement as the crowd continued shouting and chanting.
Video obtained by Kenyans.co.ke showed angry revelers heckling while throwing their hands in the air showing dissatisfaction with the Sports CS, a close ally of President William Ruto.
This case continues a series of heckling by members of the public who have seemingly resorted to booing as a way of expressing their dissatisfaction with the Kenya Kwanza regime.
On November 23, Senior Economic Advisor to President William Ruto, Moses Kuria, was heckled and kicked out of a burial ceremony in Murang’a following the impeachment of former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.
Kuria was met by an irate congregation at the funeral service of Mark Gicheru, a Member of the County Assembly (MCA).
Following the same script, on October 11, Nakuru Governor Susan Kihika and several other UDA officials faced a hostile crowd in Bahati during a funeral service on Friday as locals openly rejected efforts to promote President William Ruto’s agenda.
Governor Kihika encountered her first signs of trouble when she began reading a condolence message from President Ruto. The moment Ruto’s name was mentioned, the crowd grew agitated with jeers and murmurs quickly drowning out Kihika’s voice.
Similarly, during the 61st celebrations of Mashujaa day in Juja, patriotic citizens turned wild and heckled as President William Ruto’s speech was being read out.
Everything was going well but hell broke loose when the Deputy County Commissioner (DCC) stood to read a speech from President William Ruto.
The DCC was met with a hostile audience who started jeering immediately after he began reading the president’s speech.
The widespread heckling against leaders comes on the backdrop of the impeachment of the embattled Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua coupled with dissatisfaction with the development trajectory the country is taking.
