Kenyans we’re sometime just whining about nothing in particular.
We just whine, because we can. Not because there’s something really wrong.
The global economy is in a mess ever since this war began. From fertilizer, to iron, to wheat, all that has skyrocketed once key players were locked out of the market.
I will take the 100 for unga. And any other arising subsidy.
Is it economically sound? That’s up to debate.
But it does help ease the current burden to the mwananchi.
Another lesson we should learn by now is self sufficiency.
I assume most talkers have some land somewhere. Why can’t we make use of that land to plant something small, or delve into small scale farming for subsistence?
Plant some maize, or wheat, or millet, or tubers. Get a dairy cow. We don’t need to cram at the supermarket all the time and rant on some issues we can control if we just get out of our comfort zones.
Times will only get tougher. Or better, depending on a lot of factors we’ll beyond our individual controls.
But what we can put as certain is security. Especially on matters food.
