Members of Magereza Sacco are calling for a team of external Auditors and Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) to probe into their accounts for the alleged loss of Sh128 million in the past 8 years.
According to a delegate of the Sacco Mr Kennedy Wanyonyi, he faulted the Sacco staff and Board of directors for colluding to swindle the member’s savings since 2006.
Mr Wanyonyi who is also in charge of Welfare of staffs at the Siaya GK prisons stated that reports by ICT manager Mr Tom Atinda indicates that the Sacco is in the verge of collapsing following the loss of millions of shillings.

This is terrible. Saccos are a lifeline for so many Kenyans without the ability to to invest big financially.

Kwani whats SASRA for…he should go complain to them sio kukimbia kwa media…They (Sasra) get statutory monthly reports from deposit taking saccos. Huyu anaeza kua he was locked from the eating.
