You recall that in his manifesto H.E the governor promised to ensure that residents living under deplorable conditions due to poverty will be provided with decent houses. We pleased to note that the county government through the department of Lands and Housing has unveiled the Social Housing Scheme for the vulnerable to realize this dream. Under this programme 225 decent houses will be constructed for the poor. Nine houses will be built in each ward for the beneficiaries. So far 45 houses have been constructed and occupied by the beneficiaries across the county.
