I have been reading about the vision that China govt wants to attain by the year 2025. They want to be self independent by the yar 2025 in terms of technology and high advanced manufacturing such as semi conductors. They need to do away with reliance on America’s technology and other countries technology for their economic development such as Android, GPS, Google, and others. My question is why is America worried about China working towards their national goal because they are the one barking loud about Chinese made in China 2025 vision. They argue that China is creating unfair competition by offering subsidies to their companies and supporting them financially. I mean, what is wrong with that, even America can do so if they desire. I guess it is each country vouching for their self interests
Because Chinese state led capitalism has proven to work. China 2025 inawasumbua because a self suffient China means an end to American hegemony. Uncle Sam will not have any leverage over China and much of the world that will choose to side with the it.
China 2025 also means that the west will lose a huge market for their high tech industries.
Picture this.China spends 300 billion dollars importing semiconductors. Hio ni pesa inaenda America.
With China being the only major growing market, self suffiency will mean that companies like akina Intel, Qualcomm will lose a major client. Most of them will stagnate, close or be forced to merge to survive.
The number of Chinese made products that are bought and go straight into the bin? Nimechoka.
American products are very good, especially critical electrical equipment.
US can live very comfortably without China.

Shida ya oppressive govts whether ni the old Germany, USSR, North korea ama Libya ni they have a narrow focus and eventually sputter out. The real test for China itakuwa when the population starts demanding reforms. Hong Kong pekee will be a problem. My guess they will be a war in whose outcome will determine the future of China. As usual africans will play pawns in that war.
Non democratic countries have become rich and many examples are all over.
Also not all populations start agitating for democracy once they achieve high income status. You are looking at China with a western centric view and not looking at its unique character and history.
You also need to understand Hong Kong and why its problematic vis a vis Macau which was under Portuguese rule until 1999 but is fiercely loyal to Beijing.
